Koło Naukowe Studentów Filozofii UPJPII oraz Fundacja Optimum Pareto mają wielki zaszczyt i przyjemność zaprosić na Filozofikon 2 – poświęcone popkulturze spotkanie o nowatorskiej formie, łączącej konferencję naukową z konwentem. Wydarzenie odbędzie się 13–14 maja 2017 roku w centrum Krakowa (szczegóły zostaną podane z odpowiednim wyprzedzeniem).
Cykl „Filozofikon. Konwent i Konferencja Naukowa” umożliwia zetknięcie Adeptek i Adeptów filozofii na wszystkich etapach intelektualnych poszukiwań (studenckim, doktoranckim, doktorskim i innych) z Fanami i Fankami kultury popularnej, co automatycznie staje się okazją do popularyzowania samej filozofii.
Dzięki zeszłorocznej edycji „Filozofikonu” ponad 200 Istot dowiedziało się więcej o egzystencjalistycznych interpretacjach znanych anime, politycznym wydźwięku „Gwiezdnych Wojen”, seriach superbohaterskich jako „laboratoriach” myślowych dla filozofii umysłu oraz wielu, wielu innych fascynujących zagadnieniach. Tym razem na spotkanie poświęcimy aż dwa dni! O tym, co odkryjemy i przeżyjemy na Filozofikonie 2, ponownie zadecydujcie razem z nami, m.in. proponując wystąpienia, uczestnicząc w konkursach, angażując się w dyskusje oraz pomagając w obsłudze.

The Student Association for Philosophical Studies at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow and the Optimum Pareto Foundation have the great honour and pleasure of inviting you to ‘PhilosophyCon 2’, an innovative meeting concerning all things pop culture, which combines an academic conference with a fan convention. The event is taking place in Krakow, Poland, on 13–14 May 2017 (details to be announced early enough).
The PhilosophyCon: Fan Convention and Academic Conference cycle makes possible something that does not happen very often: gathering philosophers, philosophers-to-be, and popular culture fans. This becomes a perfect opportunity for popularising philosophy as such.
Thanks to the last year’s edition, over 200 beings learnt more about existentialist interpretations of some well-known anime, about political overtones of the Star Wars saga, about superhero series as thought ‘laboratories’ for philosophy of mind, and about many, many more fascinating issues. This time, we have two days for the meeting! By, among others, proposing presentations, participating in contests, taking part in discussions, and assisting in the organisation, you will decide with us what will be discovered and experienced at the ‘PhilosophyCon 2’.
